Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit

For a number of years the SCAU Group have used the farm for camping but this year they wanted to give something back and have been helping us prepare some of the community areas ready for this years visitors. Activities have included weeding, re-staining seeding and raised beds, planting vegetables seeds and flowers.

Group Visits

Through out the year we will have a selection of visiting groups from WI's, Gardening Guilds, art and photographic groups plus groups wanting to get involved like Friends of Hednesford Park, Upper Morton Rural Activity Group and Business Groups like British Gas who came to the farm as part of a team building day. Please do get in touch if you would like to organise a visit.

Cider Apple Hatvest and  Pressing

Each year we have a day and invite the local community to join us collect the apples from the cider orchard which are then scratted and pressed, juice is tasted, some of it is then for sale and any leftovers will be made into cider using just the juice and any naturally forming yeast.

Heritage Open Days

We have been taking part in Heritage Open Days for a number of years, this is an opportunity to share with visitors some of the heritage of the site including Capability Brown designed bridges, haha as well as articles and maps of the old estate.

Fairtrade Breakfast & Teas

In partnership with Whittingtton and Fisherwick Fairtrade group the farm hosts a celebration of World Fair Trade Day with visitors enjoying Fairtrade Teas, Coffee plus breakfast items and homemade cakes produced by the farm.
